One thing I learned from the show is that Sully is exactly the kind of man you’d expect a hero to be: humble, kind, strong. It’s a fascinating interview and if you didn’t get the chance to see it, you can watch the interview here. I recommend taking the time to watch it.

Watching it confirms what so many witnesses said, which was that the descent and landing were so perfect that if you couldn’t see the river, you would have thought the plane was landing on a runway. No matter how many times I watch this video, I’m still in awe of Sully’s skill and bravery.
