Barney Frank admit the “public option” is the best way to get to a single payer system

Posted at 6:06 pm in Barack Obama & health care

Even though the president insists the public option he likes so much is not a single payer system, Barney Frank admits freely that a “good public option” would lead to a single payer health care system.

The United States has the best health care system in the world. Leaders from countries all over this earth come [...]

Michigan’s disastrous economy is…Engler’s fault?

Posted at 3:58 pm in Economy & Michigan

Each week a physical therapist from our school system comes to our house to provide physical therapy assistance to my four year daughter. She’s a very nice lady and I appreciate her help, but I have to say she has drunk way too much liberal kool-aid. We entered into a brief discussion about the mass [...]

Michigan Democrats want Gitmo detainees

Posted at 9:46 pm in Democrats & Economy & National Security & Terrorism

As a Michigan resident, I am dismayed that our economy has been decimated so badly by Democrats that the only idea the Democrats can come up with to create jobs is to move the detainees being held in Guantanamo Bay here. I guess they surveyed the disastrous condition their home state is in and determined [...]

AIP column: Michigan’s central planning failures

Posted at 7:06 pm in Capitalism & Democrats & Economy

Michigan’s unemployment rate is 15.2%, the highest in the nation. Back in the 1990’s our state’s unemployment rate consistently below the nation’s average and for good reason. Well, he didn’t say it exactly those words, [...]

Steven Crowder gives you an up close and personal look at Canada’s socialized health care system. Seriously. He went to Canada and tried to get care in Canada’s hospital and clinics:

Saudi feminist highlights the plight of Saudi women

Posted at 7:35 pm in Islam & Saudi Arabia

Women in America live a life that is about as diametrically opposed as can be from the life that Saudi women live. I lose patients when I hear American women, who have the right to do about anything they want, including kill their own unborn babies, complain about whatever issue has their panties in a [...]

Health care bill delayed indefinitely

Posted at 5:43 pm in Freedom & government & health care

Finally some good news on the health care reform front from Roll Call:
House Democrats’ health care bill has been delayed indefinitely as leaders continue negotiations with fiscally conservative Blue Dog Democrats.
This is not to say I don’t think there should be any health care reform. We need health care reform because the system we have [...]

Posted at 3:02 pm in Business & government

According to Congressman Thad McCotter, Michigan’s unemployment rate, which is at 14%, could reach as high as 20%.  Congressman McCotter places the blame for the potentially devastating unemployment rate at the feet of President Obama:

Michigan’s unemployment rate could hit as high as 20 percent with the Obama administrationto blame, one Michigan congressman warned Friday.
