CBS News calls Ahmadinejad Iran’s George W. Bush

This is an outrage!  CBS has a piece on their website that is so out of line it’s one of the most agregious and disgusting examples of media malpractice I think I have ever seen. CBS News has this headline over the New Republic’s article about Iran’s election debacle: “Meet Iran’s George W. Bush.”  Thanks to Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit for not just bringing this to me but for capturing the screen cap so CBS can’t take it down without people seeing their propaganda and lies in full color:

cbs-mahmoud-bush

Ahmadinejad is an evil dictator who is killing his own citizens in the streets because they are expressing their outrage at how he rigged the election through massive voter fraud.  This creep also has his goons beat women in public for showing their hair. He bans satallite television. He has young girls executed when it was they who were raped.  Ahmandinejad has the soul of the devil, and CBS calls him Iran’s George W. Bush.  Disgraceful!

This is supposed to be a legitimate news organization but they’ve proven themselves to be nothing but a black hole in which truth, fairness, and decency are sucked in to never be seen or heard from again.  No wonder mainstream media news outlets, especially CBS, are losing viewers, readers, and listeners when they are incapable of reporting anything but lies like this.

Update: Now we’ve got Andrew Sullivan, who is clearly an intellectual empty vessel, comparing Ahmadinejad to Karl Rove.  He lives in a world of such extremes that it’s impossible to take him seriously. Liberals are good; conservatives are evil, particularly Karl Rove.  Robert Stacy McCain rips him:

Really, Sully? I mean, really? WTF goes through someone’s mind when they dream up an idiotic comparison between (a) Karl Rove, a Republican political strategist, and (b) Mahmoud Ahmadinejed, a Jew-hating genocidal maniac?

You might as well compare Rove to Charles Manson or Pol Pot. Please note that Sullivan’s comparison involves no hypotheticals. It does not appear to be any sort of parodic humor, except unintentionally. He evidently means to suggest in all seriousness that Ahmadinejad and Rove are similar in some meaningful way.

Whatever you think of Karl Rove — and I am certainly not his biggest fan — there is something absurdly puerile in the suggestion that his political strategies involve “the deployment of Potemkin symbolism like Sarah Palin” (???).

What does Sarah Palin have to do with any of this? What is going on in Sullivan’s mind that he has such a freakish obsession with her? It’s so weird that I’m beginning to suspect he’s got a secret room in his house where every wall is covered with photos and news stories about the governor and her family.

Update II: Ann Althouse examines Sullivan’s Palin obsession and it’s pretty obvious it is getting worse.

I can not believe they are comparing GB to Ahmandinejad….And for Jim to call GB a mass murder is just inaccurate. I am not a GB fan, but we were safe under his watch since 9/11.

Keep up the good work Kim! :)

Oh, my gosh, I would have never believed a US News organization would have ever done this! What a horrible smear. This country’s news media, at this time in history is so nasty, vindictive and libelous it’s no wonder they are losing their audience so fast!.

Just one more reason to boycott CBS, as far as I’m concerned. Great find Kim.
