PETA: People for the Evil Treatment of Animals

If you thought PETA was actually about protecting animals, let me help set the record straight. PETA is not about the ethical treatment of animals; it’s about the EVIL treatment of animals.

According to The Center for Consumer Freedom, PETA killed 95% of the adoptable pets in its care. PETA has a euthanasia record that is right up there with the Nazis at Auschwitz:

According to public records from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, PETA killed 2,124 pets last year and placed only seven in adoptive homes. Since 1998, a total of 21,339 dogs and cats have died at the hands of PETA workers.

Despite having a $32 million budget, PETA does not operate an adoption shelter. PETA employees make no discernible effort to find homes for the thousands of pets they kill every year. Last year, the Center for Consumer Freedom petitioned Virginia’s State Veterinarian to reclassify PETA as a slaughterhouse.

CCF Research Director David Martosko said: “PETA hasn’t slowed down its hypocritical killing machine one bit, but it keeps browbeating the rest of society with a phony ‘animal rights’ message. What about the rights of the thousands of dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens that die in PETA’s headquarters building?”

Martosko added: “Since killing pets is A-OK with PETA, why should anyone listen to their demands about eating meat, using lab rats for medical research, or taking children to the circus?”

Excellent question.  I haven’t listened to these freaks for years because they are not about animal rights in any sense of the words.  They are consumed with the same thing other leftist organizations are consumed with: control. They want to control what you eat, what you wear, what you watch. They don’t give a damn about animals, and their 95% euthanasia record proves it.

Thanks for stopping back. I've got a lot of new content for you to read.

One Response to “PETA: People for the Evil Treatment of Animals”

I love animals but I would never place them above human beings. And I think it is absolutely appalling that so many animals have died under their “care.” Years ago I gave money to Best Friends Sanctuary because no animal was ever killed that could not be adopted yet all efforts were made to get the animal adopted. This is also the reason I don’t like the ASPCA. They act like they care about pets but will kill any pet that isn’t adopted in a week. How is that not cruel? Leftists don’t care about anything or anyone, it is totally reprehensible.
